Upgrade your compatible crimping tool to finally get the perfect crimp-terminal shapes for custom sleeved cables, especially where it really matters: 15 AWG, 16 AWG, 17 AWG and 18 AWG.
CTX-3 Jaws are unique jaws to make very round (as high as wide) instead flat-oval insulation crimps (with the "bite" of course) while maintaining a very high squeeze force on the conductor - in a covered range from 15 AWG down to 26 AWG.
In the gallery images for these CTX-3 Jaws, you will see how to check if your tool-body is compatible. You can of course convert your older 2-slot MDPC-X crimping tools (V1 with blue handles from 2008 and V2 with black handles from 2009 to 2016) to the CTX-3 capabilities with these CTX-3 Jaws.
The only difference at the jaws from these CTX-3 to the ones on our complete CTX-4 crimp tool is the number of slots. CTX-3 offers 3 positions, while CTX-4 offers 4 positions.
There are dozens of compatible tools sold under many different brand names, the only important aspect is that you measure if the jaw section of your tool is compatible:
- The inner width of the tool at the front, where the jaws are mounted in between, must be 4.0 mm (+- 0.1 mm).
- The space between the inside of the top and the inside of the bottom part of your tool, when the tool is fully closed, must be 10.0 mm (+- 0.1 mm).
- The distance from the center of the jaw-mounting screw hole to the edge (where the jaw gets visible) must be 5.0 mm (+- 0.1 mm).
